Capital Advisory - San Diego, CA

Bainbridge Capital Analysts are distinguished by their strong analysis skills and a results-oriented professional outlook. They excel at deal identification and in developing a constant stream of potentially lucrative opportunities for clients. In addition, they are highly motivated, professional, creative, and resourceful. The successful candidate will be working in our Capital Advisory Group, which focuses on strategic advisory services including acquisition research, identification of acquisition targets, financial modeling, and due diligence. Primary responsibilities include the sourcing, evaluating, and structuring of deal opportunities for Bainbridge Capital clients. In addition, the candidate could progress to private equity and fund management assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Contacting business owners and managers to determine level of interest in merger or divestiture
  • Data gathering via secondary and primary source research on industries as well as both private and public companies
  • Tracking of current and prospective targets
  • Conducting detailed industry research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities, support deal flow development, and investment due diligence
  • Packaging financial information on business deals for senior management (i.e., identify synergies, utilize various valuation techniques, analyze financial risks, etc.)
  • Composing internal deal approval memorandums, initial term sheets and letters of intent
  • Constructing financial and operating models
  • Managing client deliverables and acquisition target negotiations
  • Presenting deliverables to clients and answering questions

To qualify for this excellent opportunity, candidates must:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Economics) from a leading University
  • Two to four years experience in Investment Banking is preferred
  • Business analysis and financial modeling skills
  • Understanding of industry and market drivers
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Ability to come up with creative solutions to unique challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and on teams
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of personnel in our organization and with third parties
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly motivated
  • Professional demeanor and maturity
